Title
Lord Ganesha Mirage
Artist
Vijay Sharon Govender
Medium
Mixed Media - Acrylics On Fabric
Description
This painting began as a depiction of the chakras but when completed I saw the mirage of Lord Ganesha. If you look carefully there apperas to be a trunk of an elephant, two eyes, the potbelly as shown in Ganesha images. This appeared from my deep subconscious.

Vijay, This is a brilliant painting on fabric. I read your description. It is interesting. Sometimes things from our deep subconscious mind(s) appear in our work. I know that has happened to me. F/V

I love the vibrant colors and shapes in this painting. It is beautiful. What is Lord Ganesha Lord of? I would like to know his history.
Vijay Sharon Govender replied:
Hi Michelle Lord Ganesha is the first God worshipped by Hindus as He is the clearer of obstacles. He is half human, half elephant. The trunk is used to clear an obstacles in ones path to spirituality.
